Josh Dimino, Originally from Salem, Massachusetts, Remembered as “Life of the Party”
Boca Raton, FL — A tragic plane crash near a major highway and railroad tracks in Boca Raton on Friday morning has claimed the lives of three people, including beloved bartender Josh Dimino of Delray Beach, Florida. The crash occurred not far from the Boca Raton Airport and sent shockwaves through both the local community and Dimino’s hometown of Salem, Massachusetts.
The small aircraft, which carried three people, went down in a fiery crash that left the wreckage scattered near a damaged vehicle. A fourth person, who was near the crash site, was reportedly injured. According to Boca Raton police, surrounding roads have been shut down as authorities continue to investigate the scene. Witnesses described seeing a large plume of black smoke as emergency crews responded to the blaze.
Josh Dimino, one of the crash victims, was a well-known and deeply loved bartender at Hale Street Tavern Oyster Bar in Beverly, Massachusetts. Though he had recently been living in Delray Beach, Florida, his heart remained closely tied to his roots in Salem. 
News of Josh’s passing was confirmed by his cousin, Sara Kirubi, who shared a heartfelt message:
“It is with immense sadness and disbelief that I need to share the heartbreaking news that my cousin Josh Dimino has passed away in a tragic accident. We are all in shock and mourning the passing of someone so special.”
Friends and family are planning several tributes to honor Josh’s life and legacy. A funeral service will be held at Temple Sinai, 1 Community Road in Marblehead, MA, on Sunday, April 20th at 2:00 PM.
In addition, The Derby in Salem has invited Josh’s friends and loved ones to gather for a special toast to his memory at 4:00 PM the same day, in unison with Hale Street Tavern Oyster Bar in Beverly. The gathering is expected to be filled with stories, laughter, and the kind of vibrant spirit Josh was known for.
Described by those who knew him as “unbelievably kind” and the “all-time life of the party,” Josh Dimino leaves behind a legacy of joy, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
