East Hartford Shooting, East Hartford, CT – April 7, 2025 — A man was hospitalized Monday following a shooting at a residence in East Hartford, prompting a significant police response and an active investigation into the incident.
The East Hartford Police Department received reports of a shooting at approximately 12 p.m. at a home located at 50 Bidwell Avenue. According to Officer Marc Caruso, officers arrived to find a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Multiple officers and detectives quickly descended on the scene to secure the area and begin collecting evidence. As a result, Bidwell Avenue was temporarily shut down between Tolland Street and Burnside Avenue while investigators canvassed the neighborhood and conducted interviews.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made, and police have not released any information regarding possible suspects or a motive behind the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
